1 Introduction

College as an important part of society, safe and stable or not directly related to social stability, campus security rely on defense, prevention has been unable to meet the needs of rapid development in universities, in order to ensure that campus safety, improving the level of security management, campus monitoring system must be established.

With computer technology and network technology, the monitoring system is moving video digitization, monitoring and control system for networking and management of intelligent direction, telematic has become possible. Take advantage of campus resources, based on the campus network digital monitor system can greatly reduce the workload, improve building system convenience, real-time monitoring of the viewable area, rapid control, reduce the incidence of various types of cases, makes it easy for administrators to timely respond to and handle emergencies.

2 system design

The establishment of campus safety precaution monitoring system, to meet the security needs, must make full use of existing resources in schools to improve resource utilization, reduce the construction cost.

2.1 system design direction

2.2 system design goals

Use of school already has a campus network resources, the use of intelligence, networking and information technology and other technical means to satisfy the system's usability, advanced, openness, security, and economic requirements, the actual realization of information sharing, and resource sharing scientific management goals; to pluralistic information acquisition, transmission, monitoring, recording, management and integration, and other high-tech, construction safety precaution monitoring system.

2.3 system coverage

Digital surveillance system is on the campus of Omni-directional control, first school teaching building and laboratory building, computer building, gymnasium, library, Park, student dormitory, administrative building entrances and focus fire and burglar-proof parts installed camera; the second is to place students in regular focus such as canteens, sports venues, square mounted camera; the third is the main road to the school, the entrance and exit of all floor area families installed camera; the fourth is on the southern campus gate, dormitory, comprehensive building, main road to install camera.

3 the overall scheme of the system design

To campus resources for monitoring information delivery and management platform, will be distributed in various buildings on campus video monitoring cell network and use of media servers, computer systems and other equipment for monitoring unit provides video for management, monitoring, tracking and monitoring your environment.

Campus-based digital video surveillance system is mainly composed of: Media Server, storage, monitoring and control digital video disk arrays, digital video management and playback software, private VLAN, video server, environmental monitoring point video acquisition system, the monitoring center server and display, alarm system. Its system network topology is shown in Figure 1.
