Keshengxun system company Grain Media launches application for security and surveillance of the 16-channel digital video recorder (digital video recorder, DVR) of complete hardware and software reference design.

The new reference design based on a multi-channel keshengxun video decoder and Grain Media advanced h.264 compression SoC solutions.

The new reference design helps manufacturers develop support 16 channel encoding, video recording and playback features, optimized video surveillance DVR.

The reference designs also have double/triple display output function. Other features include support for the embedded keyboard and remote control with no outside microcontroller and for the entire system operation crystal oscillator.

The design of the platform is based on two keshengxun CX25838 video decoder.

The decoder with the industry's lowest power consumption and heat dissipation per channel, with integrated 10-bit ADC and 5 line comb filter 8 industry standard NTSC/PAL video decoder for outstanding digital output quality, while reducing noise, provide low compression bit rate. The decoder also built-in integration between audio IC (Inter-IC Sound, I2S) input, 8-channel single-channel ADCs. Other features include programmable motion detection logic, 48 universal input/output (general input/output, GPIO) pin, for maximum design flexibility and product customization.

The platform also includes Grain Media using embedded Linux OS GM8186/GM8187 H.264 SoC for low bit rate of high-quality video performance.

Use 540MHz CPU and up to the powerful 810MHz DDR2 SoC for 16 Channel DVR system is optimized.

The reference system platform also supports a wide variety of peripheral interfaces, including SATA 2.0 ports, USB host and OTG, keyboard scan, remote control, HDMI, VGA and NTSC/PAL display output.

It also includes a PCI interface to support video analysis and other value-added features.
