New infrared laser compact durable and can monitor multiple fields

As far as Austria press agency reported that Austria Linz University scientists recently invented a kind of small semiconductor lasers.

This small middle infrared laser devices can be widely applied in environmental analysis, climate research, medical, automobile exhaust monitoring, etc.

According to reports, the Linz University of semiconductors and solid-state physics scientist use lead salt semiconductor manufacturing a wavelength of the laser, it can reach 4.3 Micron, working conditions to 2 degrees Celsius.

Thus, it is also a need for cooling environment of lasers.

Researchers said this IR semiconductor lasers can develop "more compact, durable and cheap" laser system.

Currently it uses environment while also need cooling, but in the near future is possible in normal temperature conditions.
