Korea and the United States University research out low-cost RFID tags

Wireless billing is a lot of small shops, supermarket.

If this technology a reality, people in the real world, checkout and it seems like just as easily as on Taobao, weekend primetime supermarket check-out of export row long will no longer see.

Now, a new printable labels are to be put into practice step by step.

RFID tag technology can give brief information print to bag, in fact it is not a new technology — many years ago, people thought of this idea. But RFID tags with semiconductor silicon materials, embed the packaging cost up to 50 cents (about RMB 3 million), for many small profits but quick turnover of goods, the prices will lose its relevance.

Now, Korea University, in cooperation with Texas in Suncheon, has developed a new RFID tag, this tag can print directly to the plastic packaging, eliminates and Silicon material needs, costs may be reduced to 3 cents per cent.

The prices for many commodities is acceptable.

This invention using carbon nano-technology, researchers developed a semiconductor ink, which contains carbon nanotubes have a charge-discharge capacity, so that you can put the trademark information records, and print to packaging.

At present, the Group continues to improve their skills, with the ultimate goal in smaller label memory if more data, and the cost down to 1 cent.
