Intersil's solutions help accelerate digital SLOC IP video surveillance technology widely used

Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ Global Select market dealers code: ISIL) today announced the launch of a coaxial cable at the same time transmit analog CVBS video and digital IP video signal's advanced modem solution---Intersil Techwell SLOC ™ (coaxial cable security link).

Intersil Techwell SLOC ™ (coaxial cable security link) solution allows the million pixel-level modern IP camera using your existing CCTV coaxial cable infrastructure, but do not need to use a new line or cable modified to significantly reduce the cost and resources.

Moreover, Intersil Techwell device also supports existing coaxial wiring infrastructure of digital IP camera functions without interfering with existing CCTV service.

In addition, embedded analog CVBS video also supports the no-latency real-time digital IP cameras to watch and control. In this way, the monitoring system manufacturers now have the ability to build support for no delay analog CCTV functionality and networking IP monitoring effective mixing monitoring system.

The solution consists of a camera based on SLOC PHY device TW3801 modem and a receiver based on SLOC PHY device TW3811 modem.

The Intersil Techwell technology, based on a combination of TW3811 TW3801 and to provide security monitoring industry from the traditional analogue system seamlessly migrate to IP security system. SLOC technology leverages the installed coax infrastructure and support for networked IP function, there is no need to design for IP camera and DVR (digital video recorder) design for big change.

TW3801 and TW3811 is a highly integrated modem PHY subsystem, which includes an analog front end (AFE), a digital modem and two Ethernet media-independent interface (MII).

TW3801 it received CVBS signal and Ethernet MII signal into a one-on-one through coaxial cable transmission of proprietary output signal. While TW3811 from camera based on SLOC technology modem PHY IC received signal decoding for an analog CVBS signal and an Ethernet MII signal. So customers can be based on the simulation of the existing system upgrade to feature-rich IP security system, including no-delay function.

Intersil SLOC solution enables IP camera and receiver by up to 500 m coaxial cable for high performance and reliable communication.

Downlink throughput up to 36Mbps (from camera to receiver); uplink throughput of up to 11Mbps (from the receiver to the camera)

2010 Germany international industrial safety products exhibition display SLOC technology

On October 5-8, essener in Germany 2010 Germany held the international trade fair for industrial security (Security Essen 2010), Intersil Techwell will Hall GA 155, booth featuring the SLOC modem PHI IC equipment and conduct on-site presentation.

Participants can personally experience through a common coaxial cables from the high-definition 1080p IP camera to monitoring stations at the same time transmit analog CVBS video signal and digital high-definition 1080p IP video signal.

Prices and sales conditions

Currently provide 100-TQFP (12x12mm) package form of TW3801 and TW3811 engineering sample.

Mass production of samples release date scheduled for the first quarter of 2011. To 1000 pieces for ordering units, the chipset's starting at $ 35 USD. For more information, please log in: http://www.intersil.com/video/sloc.asp.
